In 2017, the 140-year-old hotel Waldhaus Flims underwent a transformative renovation, repositioning itself as an exquisite and elegant retreat under the prestigious Marriott Luxury Collection brand.

Nestled in the Swiss Alps against a backdrop of mountains and forests, this is one of the Leading Hotels of the World, comprsing three distinct buildings: the 19th-century Grand Hotel, the Villa Silvana, and Chalet Belmont.

Drawing inspiration from its palatial past, the interior designs weave traditional grandeur with refined contemporary touches, exuding a sense of historic class and modern sophistication. Light yet warm, its colour palette combines hues of gold, caramel and chocolate to create an atmosphere of indulgence and serenity. Natural woods and grand furnishings pay homage to the property's heritage, while a chandelier, light fixtures and stylised motifs tie in with the original Belle Époque style.

Throughout the project, total space planning and remodelling were executed with great care to ensure the building’s historical integrity was respected and preserved. With a mix of smart luxury and meticulous attention to detail, this world-class resort welcomes guests to immerse in a perfect balance of old-world charm and contemporary elegance.
